The client are a global retail company that have a huge online presence, and they are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. The role is based in South West London (Imperial Wharf - very near Chelsea), and they are looking for someone with retail experience to join their team and help maintain the Purchase ledger, as well as assist with the month end process.

The client are a huge, global retail company, who's Finance team are based in South West London (Imperial Wharf). They operate across the UK, all across Europe, and in the US as well. Their main presence is actually online and they are looking for someone to join their team (on a permanent basis) as an Accounts Assistant. The team is medium sized and there are lots of progression prospects within the company.
Description
The successful Accounts Assistant will be:
- Oversee purchase invoice processing and help out where required. Circa 500 invoices per month with part time support
- Maintain and reconcile all cash book entries on a monthly basis
- Process all inter company invoicing and act as main point of contact between UK entity and overseas finance operation.
- Prepare and upload all supplier payment runs on a weekly basis
- Maintain company credit cards, reconcile and post statements on a monthly basis
- Post and prepare payment runs for all staff expenses
- Process all customer and VAT refunds and ensure all systems are updated accordingly
- Reconcile and process all Interest Free Credit (IFC) sales
- Prepare fortnightly payroll submission for external payroll provider, ensuring all starters, leavers and pay adjustments have been correctly accounted for
- Maintain fortnightly payroll pension submissions
- Maintain prepayments and fixed assets schedules for month end management accounts
- General admin office support
Profile
The successful Accounts Assistant will be:
- Confident
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have experience in a Finance team within a RETAIL company
- Have done stock reconciliations
- Have approximately 1-2 years experience
- Have experience in the Accounts Payable function of a RETAIL company
