Accounts Assistant (6 Months)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our team in Dungarvan Co Waterford. The purpose of this job is to be responsible for the production of customer invoices to strict deadlines while also contributing to routine finance department tasks. Responsibilities will include: Produce accurate customer invoices on a regular basis to strict deadlines. Liaise with customers to ensure delivery of invoices to correct person. Provide prompt responses to customer queries. Liaise with internal Credit Controller to ensure the reduction of overdue accounts. Bank Reconciliations, Vat/Intrastat/VIES returns Additional tasks as may be assigned by Financial Controller. Ensure that all documentation is completed on time, accurately and legibly. Keep their training records up to date and to initiate training where possible. Adhere to all company standards in the area of safety, housekeeping and quality, notifying management of any discrepancies. Handle any customer related queries where necessary and liaise with the team to solve these queries if needed. Ensure that customers' requirements are fully met and in so doing be flexible to work in any area of the business as is required. Identify any opportunities for improvement of quality and service and work with the team to implement continuous improvement. Experience & Qualifications 1-2 years office based/administration experience Good knowledge of business applications and PC skills Strong finance skills Organised, accurate Good team player Passionate about quality and customer service. Good communication skills both internally and externally. Ability to understand customers' requirements and to be able to devise and articulate the most appropriate solutions.
