We are currently seeking a VAT Trainee to join our VAT Department. This position involves working as part of a dedicated team of VAT specialists across a diverse range of clients. You will continue training to become a member of the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. In addition to a competitive training package we offer substantial opportunities for career development. EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED * Have an honours degree, 2.1 result preferably * Completion of Part 1 or Part 2 of the CTA exams an advantage * Basic VAT knowledge and related experience an advantage * Be ambitious and want to pursue a career in VAT * Be capable of working on your own initiative * Strong interpersonal skills are essential * Part Qualified Professionals should indicate their level of experience RESPONSIBILITIES * Researching and Interpreting legislation, identifying precedent and preparing advice * Consulting with a wide variety of clients on various VAT matters * Compliance for our domestic & international clients Once you have gained experience within our VAT Department your responsibilities will expand to include: * Assist management to advise on more complex VAT matters * Liaise with clients on the VAT implications of various commercial transactions * Assist management in monitoring changes in Irish and international VAT law/regulation and case law, and assist clients to implement changes * Complete assignments within appropriate timeframes This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding, progressive firm.
