Project Financial Accounting Specialist

Working with internal business leaders and Finance Directors in large indigenous and multinational companies you will gain significant project accounting/technical accounting exposure across a variety of areas, including: Working with MNC's to prepare and audit statutory financial statements for multiple jurisdictions across Europe, including involvement in the project management of various assignments Providing advice to clients on accounting advisory projects including the first-time adoption of IFRS, the Conversion to New GAAP, transaction accounting, and complex financial instruments Working with clients to optimise the finance function. This may include projects relating to the financial statements close process, review and remediation of data and business processes, and short term interim staffing assignments "This team gets to see how multinationals in Cork really operate  - they are on site delivering projects, getting practical experience in financial reporting and a whole host of other, valuable exposure.  This is a perfect half way house between practice and industry" - Consulting Director Education and experience required includes: Qualified accountant with 0-1 years PQE experience Strong communicator, highly articulate with good report writing and excel skills Commercial/business awareness A passion for client service A genuine interest in IFRS and financial reporting in general Ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of developments (particularly IFRS) An ability to think laterally and follow things through Working across all business types, but exclusively within the accounting, finance & tax community, Barden exists to share bespoke advice, guidance and support to professionals along each step of their career journey.
