JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Responsible for monitoring the full Accounts Payable (AP) cycle from invoice processing to payment (end-to-end)
  • Lead accounts payable and support process improvement initiatives in process of efficiency and effectiveness
  • Responsible to assign tasks to team members and ensure deadlines are maintained
  • Monitor daily productivity of team members and evaluate their performance
  • Set clear team goals, provide guidance, motivation & direction to the team
  • Ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of Accounts Payable processes
  • Ensure payment of intercompany, local and overseas suppliers are done in timely manner
  • Establish and maintain effective relationship with stakeholder
  • To provide strategic advice or collaboratively develop ideas to the stakeholder and implement those ideas for improving purpose
  • Prompt and efficient in handling of all suppliers, staffs and clients queries
  • Ensure processing all suppliers' invoicing, reversals, and reconciliations are done in timely manner
  • Initiative to follow up with suppliers and agencies on aged items for resolution
  • Prepare and update the unmatched PO and AP Ageing report and necessary reports to supports finance operation
  • Develop departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with internal control framework, assist with internal/external audit requests
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting on team/individual and process performance/metrics
  • Review payment above threshold
  • Ensure timely reporting and compliance in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
JOB REQUIREMENT:
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Commerce or equivalent.
  • At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in Team Lead. Preferable in Accounts Payable.
  • Required Skill(s): Strong Management Skills, Proficient with MS Excel, Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Candidate pursuing a professional qualification (Part Time) in ACCA, CIMA or MICPA is encouraged to apply
  • Experience in a shared service or business process outsourcing engagement will be an added advantage
  • Required language(s): English
  • Ability to multitask within a fast paced environment and willing to work extra hours during month end and year end closing.
