Financial Analyst (m/f/d)* Project leadership and support for Financial Solutions and client management activities

As a financial analyst, you will be working on non-traditional reinsurance solutions, specifically financial solutions. You will work with a team to measure the economic value of reinsurance solutions and their effects on balance sheets and other financial KPI's. You will prepare and make presentations (internal and external) to potential clients, in which you explain these effects and compare them to those of other financial instruments.

In addition, you will develop analytical methods and actively support client management in the CEE/SEE region in close cooperation with Munich Re Capital Partners, in keeping with Munich Re's holistic approach to sales and marketing. You will concentrate on strategic client acquisition and on analysing and tapping new market potential.

Your job
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of clients and markets, and taking thought leadership initiatives to enhance our analytics and high-quality research impact
  • Acting as business partner to Client Management by providing financial support in developing business strategy, sustainable growth, managing and improving profitability
  • Analyzing the market, competitors and clients
  • Building financial models to analyze the impact of a reinsurance solution in an insurer's balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statement
  • Deriving business potential from specific market- and client-related financial developments
  • Participating in client presentations
  • Participating and/or initiating advancement of knowledge of analysis methods, and identifying and implement best financial practices

Your profile
  • University degree (preferably economics, CFA desirable)
  • Several years of experience in the financial service industry, preferably with advanced reinsurance or primary insurance expertise
  • Project management skills and project leadership skills
  • Pro-active, energetic, assertive, convincing
  • High degree of self-responsibility, autonomous working style
  • Advanced accounting and reporting knowledge
  • Profound analytical skills including financial modelling
  • Knowledge of risk management (knowledge and strategy development advantageous)
  • Profound knowledge of alternative financing
  • Fluent English; additional European language(s) useful
  • Experience giving internal and external presentations
  • Team-player with experience working with different stakeholders
