Job Description
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant who is self-driven and is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. You will be expected to handle with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and preparing budgets and reports. You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.
You will interact with all aspects of the business to gain a sound understanding of our company and interface smoothly with other functions in the company.
Responsibilities
· Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies
· Create and update expense reports
· Process reimbursement forms
· Prepare bank deposits
· Enter financial transactions into internal databases
· Check spreadsheets for accuracy
· Maintain digital and physical financial records
· Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
· Review and file payroll documents
· Participate in quarterly and annual audits
· Other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time
Skills and Qualifications
· Work experience as an Accounting Assistant
· Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
· Familiarity with finance regulations
· Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
· Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software
· Organization skills
· Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
· Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant field. CPA is an added advantage
