Group Management Accountant

The successful candidate will lead the finance team in the delivery and quality of the management accounts whilst working in conjunction with budget managers to inform and influence financial results and projections. Client Details Our client is a medium-sized Housing Association based in East London close to Canary Wharf. The association focuses on community regeneration as part of its core mission, with a Neighbourhood Centre on each estate. It is part of a network of housing associations and works on improving infrastructure, services, activities, employment, health and education in the area. Description As Group Management Accountant your main responsibilities will include: Ensure the business is fully engaged in the preparation of the annual Operating Budget and deliver the annual budget for all Directorates and their subsidiaries.Support the maintenance of the financial business planEnsure the Management Accounts reflect the performance of the businessDesign and implement the accounting, record-keeping and reporting necessary for new business activities to be monitored effectivelyPreparation of quarterly reports to relevant Boards or Committees and monthly reports to the Corporate Management TeamTo line manage, train and develop the Assistant Management Accountant Profile The successful candidate will: Strictly ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, CIMA or equivalent CCAB accounting qualificationSignificant experience of managing a budget process and preparation of management accountsExperience of working to deadlinesExperience of a range of bookkeeping functions including a thorough knowledge of double entry, reconciliations and maintaining ledgersExperience of report writing to BoardsExperience of using spreadsheets, accounting packages, word processing and financial IT systemsAbility to apply accounting concepts and technical knowledge Job Offer This role offers £275-325 per day over a 6 month period.
