A client of mine, a London based gallery focusing exclusively on the contemporary art market is seeking to hire an FD to join their team. The business has grown extremely quickly over a short time period and now the business is ready to take on an FD as it continues on its ambitious growth plans. All applicants must be qualified accountants (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) and should have an interest in art. Preference will be given to candidates who have had prior experience of having worked in the finance function within an art gallery or related sector. Responsibilities will include: Lead the finance function end-to endPreparation of monthly accounts,Producing of profit and loss and balance sheet reportsmanagenent of all bank relationships, bank meetings in conjunction with owners/directorsCashflow reporting and cashflow managementVAT returnForeign Exchange paymentBudgets/forecastsStock reconciliationsPreparation of monthly and yearly journals
