You will have full responsibility for the finances with responsibilities for developing the accounting and information systems whilst assisting with future growth. You will need to be able to take ownership, want to roll your sleeves up and be both technically and commercially strong. The Role: Prepare the management accounts, annual accounts, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow, varianceAssist with financial decision makingFinancial modelling to analyse and assess new business initiative, pricing and business opportunities/risksReview the financial management requirements of the business and develop, implement and maintain financial processes to optimise performancePerform analysis on income and expenditure to assist in budget monitoringPrepare P&L Accounts and balance sheets to prepare financial reportsManage one member of staff, review and oversee their work and manage their developmentOversee the sales, purchase and expenses ledgers ensuring effective cash managementOversee the payroll through the external payroll bureauManage the regulatory requirements including HMRC, Audits, Banks and other regulatory bodies. The Person: Qualified or near-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)Relevant experience ideally gained within a Media SMEExperience of managing financial systems and processesAn outgoing and engaging individual who is highly personable and has the ability to work within a lively and fast paced environmentKnowledge of Sage 50, QuickBooks and cloud accountingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build good working relationshipsCommercially minded individual who is happy to roll their sleeves upAbility to manage cashflow, oversee payroll whilst preparing management accounts, year-end accounts etc.Able to multi-task with excellent attention to detail and able to prioritise work accordinglyPrevious management/supervisory experience would be beneficial.
