The firm are renowned for placing an emphasis on development and progression, and so could provide an ideal opportunity for you to build a career with one of the very best firms in the city The successful candidate will be joining the firms well established Audit team, working on a large and varied portfolio of clients, liaising with both domestic and international clients alongside supporting the senior members of the team. Duties and Responsibilities Audit of financial statements by way of sample testing and analytical reviewReview of audit and accounts work undertaken by junior members of the teamVisiting client's premises to carry out audit work where necessaryLiaising with clients to carry out work including audit and accounting queriesPerforming an advisory role to a portfolio of clientsWorking solely or as part of a team on audits and accounts preparation assignments in respect of small, medium and large companiesPreparation of statutory financial statements from trial balance or primary recordsPreparation of working papers to support audit work and financial statements including lead schedules, checklists, and statutory reviewsMeeting both internal and external deadlinesSpending approximately 80% of your time at the London officeReporting on a regular basis to Managers and Directors for auditing and accounting The Ideal Candidate Part-qualified ACA or ACCA, or an AAT finalist with exemptionsAt least two years' experience in public practice, working with corporate clients in a mixed audit and accountancy roleExperience of planning and completing audit and accounts preparation assignmentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to manage own tasks, and to work under pressure to tight deadlinesStrong IT skills (CaseWare experience being an advantage) For more information on this role please either apply, or contact Kieron Whitehead at AJ Chambers.
