Trainee Accountant

We are a well established accountancy practice based near Watford, Herts and due to internal restructuring we are looking to recruit a Trainee accountant You will ideally have previous experience of working within a professional firm of accountants and are now looking for that next move to develop and expand your skills.You will be a guided and trained and also have the opportunity for study support in your journey towards a recognised accounting qualification.Some of the daily duties you will perform will include:Assisting with the preparation of annual financial and periodic management accounts for limited companies as well as sole traders and Limited Liability Partnerships.A key part of the role will be providing bookkeeping services for the firms clients which will naturally involve bank reconciliations and VAT returnsYou will also help out on ad hoc general accounting assignments- Studfying towards AAT / ACA / ACCA- strong excel skills as well as good knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero etcReed Specialist Recruitment Limited is an employment agency and employment business
