1. JOB IDENTIFICATION:

Job Title: Finance Manager

Reports to: General Manager

Section: Head Office

2. JOB PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Finance Manager will be responsible for the financial health of the company.

The Finance Manager will manage funds in such a manner as to maximize return on investment while minimizing risk, and while also ensuring that an adequate control structure is in place over the transfer and investment of funds.

Engages in financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance.

The role will require budget planning, producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial performance research.

The Finance Manager will support the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.

3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Policies, Processes and Procedures:

 Apply approved functional policies, processes and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

 Adherence to the company and department policies, processes and procedures.

Role Overview

 Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions.

 Compliance with set regulatory.

 Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.

 Oversee daily operations of the finance department.

 Manage the preparation of the official annual report of actual revenues, transfers, and expenses.

 Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations, location rentals and product investment decisions.

 Ensure compliance with the mandatory legal budgetary, accounting and taxation reporting requirements.

 Work with department staff to develop both short term and long term business plans for the company.

 Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

 Provide financial statement reporting and analysis, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

 Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.

 Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.

 Manage account payable, receivable, budgeting, planning financial reporting, general ledger and fixed assets.

 Direct month end closings, financial reporting and coordination of audits with external auditors.

 Anticipation of company funding requirements and coordinating with external lenders i.e. Banks, Investment Lenders to source investment funding and meet capital expenditure objectives.

Day-To-Day Operations:

 Provide financial statement reporting and analysis, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

 Oversee financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants.

 Contract external service providers for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.

 Research and analyze financial reports and market trends.

 Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.

 Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.

 Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.

 Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.

 Compliance with set regulatory auditing, taxation and accounting policies.

 Adherence to the company and department policies, processes and procedures.
 Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.

 Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

 Predicting future financial trends.

 Reporting to management and stakeholders, and providing advice how the company and future business decisions might be impacted by financial performance.

 Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.

 Preparing of VAT returns and Zakat calculations according to Saudi Arabian legal requirements.

 Developing long-term business plans based on these reports.

 Reviewing, monitoring and managing budgets.

 Developing strategies that work to minimize financial risk.

 Analyzing market trends and competitors.

Planning and Development

 Establish and implement short and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

 Provide an independent, objective assurance and consulting to management, with the principal aims of evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

 Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments in the company.

 Timely achievement of targets with defined quality standards.

Leadership

 Motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects.

 Supervise the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific reporting area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual and departmental targets.

 Adherence to the company and department policies, processes and procedures.

Compliance

 Ensure company accounting procedures conform to Saudi Accounting Principles (SOCPA, IFRS and other Accounting and Financial Standards).

 Assist in the development, management and growth of the core business functions.
