Summary/Objective
The CFO must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. The CFO will be responsible for providing strategic expertise for the Company by working with the executive management team to drive the company’s financial objectives
Key Functional Responsibilities: The CFO is responsible for the following areas:
Strategic Vision and Management Expertise:
· Provide management expertise to ensure that the mission and core values of the Company are put into practice
· Collaborate with the Chairman and the executive management team in technical, tactical and strategic business goals
· Ensure that the business goals and objectives of the Company are met
· Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
· Provide inspirational leadership and direction to the team, and ensure the continued transformation and management of a professional and efficient organization
· Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by senior leadership team.
Financial Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting
· Prepare and present periodic financial budgeting reports including profit and loss of companies under the group, and their forecast vs. budgeted financial
· Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff
· Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial and management reporting data for investors and company’s board of directors
· Involvement in the preparation and communication of financial statements
· Oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax returns
· Ensure IFRS compliance regarding all financial functions
· Work with Human Resources and compliance team to ensure appropriate formalities are met
· Involvement in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements
· Review general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts and overhead cost allocation
· Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
· Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; Manage preparation and support of all external audits.
· Maintain outstanding banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.
· Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization’s plans and operating budgets
· Represent company to banks, financial partners, investors, public auditors and officials
