Systems Management Accountant - Law Firm

Opportunity to join a growing and successful law firm in central London as a senior member within their finance function. You will be their go-to-person for the implementation of their new Practice Management System (Lexis One), working closely with senior executives and the finance director. You will also have ownership of monthly reporting packages and any ad-hoc projects designed by the FD.

Description

As a senior member of the finance team, you will be reporting into the Finance Director and working closely with the CEO, senior partners, and other executives within the company. You're main duties & responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the financial aspects of a new PMS implementation to determine best practice processes & procedures (Lexis One)
• Designing and delivering tests for the new PMS, including Data Validation & User acceptance testing
• Becoming the the go-to-person of the PMS system, overseeing its successful implementation
• Acting as the finance point of contact for the IT team, BD team, and Partnership Director
• Ownership over forecasting, budgeting, and managing
• Supervising WIP controls and providing recommendations for improvement
• Month ends and assisting with any other project or reporting relating to finance at the Finance Director's discretion

Profile

As the successful candidate, you will:

• Have experience in implementing a Practice Management System (ie: Aderant, etc...) in a professional services industry
• Have strong exposure to WIP billing in a professional service environment
• Have experience with producing Management Accountant and other month end packages in a professional service environment
• Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and database queries
• Have strong communication skills to business partner with partners and executives
• Have exposure to Microsoft Dynamics AX (desirable but not a requirement)
• Be qualified with an accountancy degree (preferred but not required) or qualified by experience

Job Offer

My client is offering the opportunity to join their growing law firm as a senior finance employee to contribute to their continued success. They are offering a salary between £45,000 and £65,000 depending on experience, with a strong benefit package and working culture.
