Our client has a vacancy for Head of Finance to ensure the appropriate financial management and control of the business and providing strategic and financial guidance, on a regular basis to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met and goals are achievable.You will need to be Qualified Accountant, CIMA, ACCA, ACA
Main Responsibilities:
·Provide training, mentoring, direction, control and leadership.·Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy and the impact of other business strategies.·Develop and control the company's annual budget and forecasting, to provide financial visibility and ensure that all financial targets are met.·Provide financial advice and guidance to the company's Senior Managers and Department Heads to enable them to achieve their objectives and disseminate to their teams.·Oversee the preparation of the company's financial accounts to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.·On a monthly basis, present timely information to the directors with relevant commentary, having already assessed the month end data and dealt with any anomalies.·Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.·Maintain and develop existing Financial KPI's throughout the business with regards to all elements of financial performance e.g. Invoicing, Purchasing, Productivity, Profitability etc.
·Ability to hold both the Senior Managers and Department Heads accountable for their financial KPI's.
·Ability to investigate financial anomalies and KPI failures, resulting in an analysis of the issue and suggested remedy or corrective course of action.
·Monitor, report and advise on areas of investment to ensure that ROI criteria has been met.
·Work closely with the Company's external Financial Advisors where appropriate to ensure the effective financial management of the business.
·Ensure that all statutory procedures to ensure financial compliance are undertaken.
·Respond to all official demands from government departments e.g. HMRC
·Manage the Purchasing/Procurement Team to ensure the efficient running of the function within agreed KPI's.
The job requires:
·Senior level accountancy experience.
·Extensive managerial experience.
·Knowledge of the industry.
·Strategic thinking skills.
·Excellent interpersonal skills.
