JOB DESCRIPTION
Change Recruitment Group are currently working with a largely successful and highly established organisation who are in search of a Financial Accountant to join their European Finance Team based in Glasgow City Centre.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and driven candidate with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage key stakeholder relationships. We are keen to speak to candidates who have a strong background in insurance and within an international environment, who can perform the following duties:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Statutory reporting for half and full year audits as well as quarterly statutory reporting
• Assist in the month reporting processes both internally and externally
• Statutory reporting for half and full year audits
• Involvement in tax returns and ensuring all information is submitted to the Tax Department on a timely and consistent basis
Key essentials:
• Fully or part-qualified accountant with experience in insurance and within an international environment
• Experience of working within a fast-paced environment performing monthly accounting close processes
• Strong experience of preparing balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience of Oracle or similar General Ledger packages
• US and Belgian GAAP knowledge would be desirable alongside FX experience
