An excellent new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Director (preferably with operational competencies), to join our executive management team and provide strategic and financial direction. The ideal candidate will be a key decision maker and somebody who has the operational drive and financial capabilities to help us to achieve our goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be rewarded with an extensive benefits package which includes a company car.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts, I.T and compliance and office administration teams to meet the company's needs.
  • Prepare, gain acceptance, and monitor the implementation of the annual budgets to ensure that budget targets are met, that revenue flows are maximised and that costs are minimised.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
  • Oversee the preparation of the company's financial accounts and management reports to ensure that these are presented accurately and on time.
  • Develop and maintain all necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company.
  • Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide the best value to the company, including certifications and audited competencies.
  • Carry out all necessary actions to ensure that the company meets its financial and legal obligations.
  • Establish and maintain compliance within the organisation.
  • Develop, promote and direct the implementation of HR policies in all aspects of the company's work.
Requirements:

  • Essential that the individual is a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding on financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
  • A high level of commercial awareness, excellent presentation and computer skills with a friendly but professional approach.
