Senior Commercial Finance Manager

4-6 month Interim role as Senior Commercial Finance Manager you will lead the Commercial Finance team of this FMCG manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire and be a trusted business partner to several Finance and Non Finance Stakeholders.

Supporting the business through a transition period whilst they recruit a new permanent hire into the Team, the Interim Senior Commercial Finance Manager role will manage a team of 5, and oversee the commercial reporting including; budgeting process, forecasting and management of the UK P&L.

Reporting to the Head of Finance of this FMCG business in Northamptonshire you will enjoy a varied and challenging role, incorporating: -

Day to day management of a team of 5.

Managing and overseeing all aspects of the commercial finance reporting function

Developing and leading a team be a regular focus. Part of the Finance Leadership Team, the role will focus on building the capability and engagement of the wider UK Finance team

Leading the management and distribution of commercial reporting and providing insight and challenge to the business through financial performance across brands, customers and sectors.

Review of sales, margin, spend and earnings to understand, challenge and explain variances.

Input, advise and support on projects, growth plans, or anything else that could increase performance.

Working with the Revenue Management team, the role will also have a slick and steady eye on promotions and what they mean for us from effectiveness to evaluation.

Management and resolution of customer audit queries.

To be shortlisted for this role the following prerequisites are key: -

Be degree educated and must be qualified CIMA/ACCA.

Offer proven experience in Sales/Commercial Finance and preferably in an FMCG environment.

Have experience of dealing with and influencing senior commercial colleagues and you'll be awesome at influencing and totally comfortable with some healthy challenge.

Strong analytical/advanced Excel skills are essential

Character wise be self-motivated, resilient, passionate about people, resourceful and take a proactive approach to problem solving.
