Head of Finance

My exclusive Client is looking to recruit an experienced individual initially on a contract basis whilst the Business undergoes an exciting period of change. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Financial Controller/FD, with hands-on experience of working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The role is the No.1 in Finance, reports directly into the CEO and is responsible for managing a small finance team as well as having a wider remit for more commercial and operational issues.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Form a close working relationship with the CEO, other senior Executives and the senior Management Team to produce the business plan and annual budgetResponsible for Reporting to the Board, Shareholders and ManagementTake the lead on the Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimise the company's financial performance and strategic positionProvide input into the financial aspects of due diligence efforts in any new relationships, commercial partners, outsourcing partners, key contract negotiations and acquisitionsTake ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policiesEnsure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growthEnsure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met. This will include but not be limited to relevant regulatory certification, Companies House submissions, VAT returns and annual accounts (including liaison with the audit partner)Experience:

Significant financial management experience in fast paced companiesDemonstrable evidence of working at a strategic and commercial level Previously had responsibility for financial planning/controls and payrollSkills & Qualifications:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)Advanced Excel skills (specifically modelling)Excellent communication skills
