Assistant Accountant

Chase and Holland are recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a rapidly expanding business based in North Derbyshire. Following a recent acquisition which has effectively doubled turnover, they will be extending their Finance team and will be focusing on a range of exciting transformation projects including the revision of their Finance systems and processes.

Reporting into a newly appointed Finance Manager, you will be a key part of the Finance team and will have the opportunity to progress your experience and qualifications in a business that will require additional heads in the future to lead its operation.

This is a busy role, and the post-holder will provide key data analysis to both internal and external stakeholders aiding the business to make fast and responsive decisions to their market. Key Responsibilities include:

• Monthly account preparation including margin analysis, board reporting packs, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Supporting all levels of the Company by delivering timely and accurate management information.
• Purchase ledger account maintenance; including all weekly payment runs.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and Vlookups (Essential)
• Microsoft Navision experience (Desirable)

Flexible working hours (39 hours per week) - Monday to Friday.

This role would suit a part qualified Accountant or an Accountant studying towards either CIMA, ACCA or ACA looking to progress and develop in a commercially focused role.
