A permanent bookkeeping job with an independent accountancy practice in Dudley paying up to £22k + study Your new firmYou will be joining an independent accountancy firm based in Dudley, West Midlands. This firm has 4 directors and an established team of 20 members of staff.Your new roleYour role will be varied as you'll be expected to complete a range of bookkeeping duties including statutory accounts, management accounts, tax returns, VAT returns etc. You will be working on one company so you will build up a strong working relationship through regular client engagement. It is expected that the majority of your role will be office based and you'll be working within the wider accounts team.Within this role there is also the chance to build and grow the firm's outsourced accounts function as this is becoming increasingly popular within the accountancy profession. You'll be working with cloud based software such as Xero and Quickbooks and you'll be required to complete client's bookkeeping online.What you'll need to succeedIt is essential that you have experience of working within an accountancy firm in a bookkeeping and/or accounts focused role. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and show evidence of working with a portfolio of clients across different business sectors. Those applicants with a mixed industry and practice background will be considered. It would be beneficial to have an understanding of cloud based software and have evidence of using it to complete client's bookkeeping but this is not essential. It is expected that you'll be AAT Qualified as a minimum and applicants can either be 'Qualified by Experience' or studying towards their ACA/ACCA Qualification. Working hours are 9-5 with 1 hour for lunch and you'll receive 25 days holiday + statutory.
