Top-tier professional services firm requires Partner Finance Manager (PFM) to operate from its large and growing Newcastle office to provide a consistently high standard of service to all profit sharing Partners of the firm's UK and Irish businesses. This is a hugely varied and high profile role suitable for individuals who thrive in a fast paced environment and who are stimulated by producing work for the most senior stakeholders.Supporting the Head of Partner Finance and working closely with one other PFM, as part of the team with responsibility for administering Partner profits, your role will include the provision of analysis and data insight for the firm's leadership team.Ensuring a high quality service to the Partners, you will:• Support the annual accounting cycle, with tasks including monthly and annual reconciliation preparation and review• Billing• Dealing with audit queries• Oversee key processes• Supervise day to day work executed by the junior team membersYou will need:• Solid experience gained in an all-round senior/managerial finance role with end to end responsibility including management accounts• A background in a field such as internal finance, compensation and benefits, audit or similar• A recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)• Experience of working within and managing teams, counselling and developing more junior team members as well as managing and balancing workload and offering support• A flexible mind-set with willingness and curiosity to understand the big picture, complex processes and transactional detail involved in Partner Finance, being comfortable moving quickly between these types of work• Very strong people, communication and organisational skills• To demonstrate a responsive and reliable approach in handling the many varied queries and information requests from the Partners and other key stakeholders• The ability to function effectively when under pressure and maintain a positive mind-set• Exceptional IT skills and a desire to provide innovative solutions in addition to a solid grounding in traditional finance tasks (e.g. reconciliations, journal posting etc.). Strong Excel skills are key as macros and data analysis are central to many tasks assigned.
