Client Details

A successful firm in Torquay, with a focus acting for growth focused clients with a good range of OMBs and SMEs, focusing entirely on the accounts, tax and wider associated general practice services provision to these clients, from a compliance angle and alongside this, offer wide ranging advice and planning services to their clients in addition. The firm is forward moving with the vast majority of clients utilising Xero and online accounting software. Some examples of the clients they act for include media, IT, leisure and hospitality and other wide ranging industry sector clients with turnovers into the £millions.

Description

Joining as Semi Senior Accountant based in the firms Torquay offices you will be taking on the preparation of financial statements for wide ranging and varied limited companies, OMBs and SMEs into the £millions in turnover. You will also have involvement in tax, VAT computations and returns, providing bookkeeping and management accounting services, filing Companies House and HM Revenue & Customs documents on your client's behalf and ensure that accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date. Your responsibilities and involvements with clients, wider accounting and tax project work will increase over time as you develop within the team and role and you will be encouraged to progress and develop within your career, with the support of highly experienced, qualified professional around you, combined with study support on offer for those looking to pursue further qualifications.

Profile

You will be any of AAT qualified, or studying for AAT, ACCA or other qualifications. Alternatively you may have developed your career entirely through experience to date. Most importantly you will have a career background developed within the accountancy practice sector, working within a firm of accountants of any size with at least one to three/four years experience or more, within the sector preparing accounts for limited companies and other clients. You will be looking to progress within your career and be seeking an opportunity within a leading firm of chartered accountants that offers you a path to develop.

Job Offer
