A highly reputable and successful firm of chartered accountants based in Barnstaple is searching for an Accounts & Tax Semi Senior / Senior Accountant to join their team carving a role with increasing responsibility and clear career development prospects both in technical development and route to progress.

Client Details

Based in Barnstaple, this several partner firm has a team of long serving, managerial and wider support professionals around them and following a steady growth in client numbers/workload over the past couple of years, they are looking to recruit a general Accounts & Tax Semi Senior/ Senior Accountant Professional, mouldable in level around the right Managerial level professional to augment their team. The firm acts for very wide ranging clients across all sorts of turnovers with a chunk of clients between £2 -£8million and wider significant proportion of smaller clients - with around 15% agricultural and the rest, very wide ranging sector clients.

Description

Joining as key addition as an Accounts & Tax Semi Senior / Senior Accountant you will carve a key role within the team undertaking accounts production from both incomplete records and from computerised records (both for sole traders/partnerships and for limited companies), general taxation work, VAT Returns, and bookkeeping help and advice to their clients, using the wide variety of accounting software now widely available, embracing the online accounting side and looking to take on the management and delivery of a quality service and client base, developing client relationships and carving a role within this successful team and firm. They use Iris Accounts and Tax Return software. Previous experience of this software would be an advantage, but not a necessity.

Profile

The firm is looking to consider individuals across a range of levels as the role can be moulded accordingly around this. So you will be any of AAT qualified, or studying for ACCA or other qualifications and looking for support to complete your studies, or you could equally be recently qualified ACA/ACCA as an experienced Senior Accountant. Alternatively you may have developed your career entirely through experience to date. Most importantly you will have a career background developed within the accountancy practice sector, working within a firm of accountants of any size with at least one to three/four years experience or more, within the sector preparing accounts for limited companies and other clients. You will be looking to progress within your career and be seeking an opportunity within a leading firm of chartered accountants that offers you a path to develop.

Job Offer
