JOB DESCRIPTION

- Leadership:

  • As a senior team member, share responsibility with the CEO for the overall fulfilment of the group’s annual and long-term performance goals;
  • Provide active input and contribute to strategic, financial and operational direction setting and the building of long-, medium- and short-term plans;
  • Communicate and promote the company’s vision and commitments throughout the organisation and foster employee alignment with the corporate goals;
  • Be an internal leader who is able to work across departments and empower others to deliver measurable results that make the company’s vision a reality; 
  • General responsibilities of financial management and reporting
  • Lead the process of building business plans for the group to deliver long-term targets set by the BOD, annual budgeting and forecasting, modelling on an intrayear or seasonal basis, by applying a data-driven approach; 
  • Review the financial performance of the group against its set objectives, by developing relevant KPIs (in cooperation with other senior management such as  the COO), tracking/measuring results continuously and systematically; analyse and enquire into the key drivers of results on a frequent basis and provide timely advice for the CEO / BOD;
  • Lead the process of group reporting to key internal/external stakeholders that is timely, accurate, insightful; goes to the source/drivers of results and points to new or corrective actions;
  • Oversee the finance and accounting divisions;
  • Monitor closely the company’s profitability, and provide timely, relevant advice to other departments on how to raise the Company’s business performance margins; 
  • Oversee the annual group auditing process, maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations; 

- Corporate Finance/ Capital Market:

  • Advise the BOD on the optimal capital structure for the company with a view to maximize return on shareholder capital while balancing risk to the company; 
  • Lead funding process for CAPEX, M&A and other initiatives requiring investment;
  • Lead corporate finance and M&A related projects for the group;
  • Lead the process of inviting/drawing new investors into the company, including the sale of the company to a third party or an IPO;
  • Establish and maintain robust lines of communications with the investor community and oversee the dissemination of the group’s press releases, annual report, communications with analysts and the media and investor relations; 
  • Maintain good banking relationships; 

- Risk Management:

  • Identify, analyse and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile;
  • Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, legal issues affecting the industry, and dealings with goverment;
  • Oversee and monitor effective tax strategies and compliance for the group;
  • Construct and monitor reliable control systems;
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage;
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies;
  • Report risks/ issues to the audit committee of the BOD;
  • Set targets and manage closely working capital levels of the group;
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts;
  • Lead the Inspection Committee; 

- Others:

Lead projects on integrated management of main business processes as ERP; Perform other functions related to the office of the CFO or as may be reasonably requested by the CEO or the BOD; 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Nationality: Vietnamese / Chinese / other Asian;

- BS in Accounting or Finance; MBA / CPA or similar professional qualifications;

- 10+ years in financial leadership roles in large consumer/ retail groups (F&B services background a strong plus) in Asia;

- Experience in setting, driving, and supervising/ reporting targets and KPIs;

- Experience in investor relations;

- Experience in M&A;  

- Relevant experience to lead financial aspects of regional expansion, having worked in different countries is a plus point;

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing, and manage well at all levels of the organization;
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
