Finance Director

Our client is a leading charity who deliver sustained and effective services to the people of Liverpool, a dynamic organisation involved in the development of the local area, increasing access to quality accomodation and support. As DoF you will be responsible for the overall accounting and financial function, including all internal financial consulting, development on accounting and financial provisions. Reporting to the CEO, you will facilitate, direct and lead the finance team in offering support to internal managers. Duties Manage day to day operations of the finance department, maintaining internal control to the highest professional standards. Work alongside CEO to prepare annual budgets, forecasts and financial and accounting objectives. Support SMT with budget consultations. Produce management accounts, annual accounts, supervise ledger systems and ensure adequate financial controls are in place. Overall responsibility for payroll, pensions, and budgetsMaking recommendations/improvements to the CEO on the accounting system. Experience Your experience should cover all aspects of the above, you must have experience in working at a senior level, supporting the board and SMT. You should have excellent Microsoft Excel skills including financial modelling techniques. Qualifications CIMA/ACCA/ACA, excellent working knowledge of Sage Accounts Software.
