Our client is an industry leading management consulting firm from the US. With the focus purely on the clients in the banking and financial services industry. Famous for their risk consulting service, they have continued to expand their APAC outreach. As part of the growth, they are looking for a Senior Manager to join their regional credit risk technical consulting function.
about the role
Reporting to the Managing Director (equivalent to regional consulting lead), you will be a key source of contribution towards driving the company's portfolio and business on credit risk. Utilising your excellent credit risk and modelling experience, you will be working closely with the business development team to assess on the clients' business needs with regards to credit risk management. You will be acting as a project lead to focus on service delivery, while at the same time developing business and credit risk modelling solutions (PD/LGD/EAD, IRB, IFRS9, Stress testing, Portfolio). Although this role does not require any sales target responsibility, you will need to be actively working with the clients and the internal teams on solving any technical issues prior, during and also post project phase. This is going to be an exciting role for credit risk professionals who would like to take their career to the next level in working as a consultant (yet without the pressure of sales targets)
skills and experience required
- 10+ years of risk and compliance experience in the banking & financial services industry
- Core focus on credit risk and modelling throughout your career
- Hands on experience in building credit risk model (PD/LGD/EAD, stress testing, etc.)
- A strong and detail minded analytical skill set, with excellent articulation, relationship building and presentation skills
- Fluency in English and Chinese
- Degree holder in relevant disciplines
- Candidates who are currently in the Big 4 with a focus on credit risk advisory services will also be considered for the role
