Client Details
A Nuneaton based company are looking to appoint a Business Control Analyst. This role is a permanent, full time role.
Description
The main duties of the role will include:
- Provide effective Finance Business Partnership support to relevant function and cost centre owners
- Provide high quality reporting and analysis for input to business decision making
- Interpret financial performance of the Business, identifying risks and opportunities
- Clearly communicate business performance to multiple audiences
- Drive the successful delivery of new report designs through collaboration with business leaders and business partners
- Produce commentary on the movement of costs on all Head Office review packs that demonstrates a thorough understanding of what drives the business (e.g. Monthly Business Review, Forecast and Budget review Packs) and local weekly and monthly reporting.
- Subject matter expert to support outsourcing colleagues
- Carry out financial processes in compliance with all relevant legal and fiscal requirements in the country of operation.
- Produce sound financial reporting to support the management of the business for all areas of responsibility.
- Ensure that all management reporting is to the standard defined by Head Office for all areas of responsibility.
- Contribute to the annual budget and quarterly forecasts using a zero based approach for all areas of responsibility
- Production of the weekly estimated results and other KPIs to enable the management team to monitor actual performance and make tactical adjustments as necessary.
- Analyse variances utilising relevant management accounting methodology.
- Ensure all activities are performed on time to meet close deadlines
- Create all balance sheet reconciliations within area of responsibility
- Prepare forecasts and budgets
- Contribute to the consolidated quarterly forecast and annual budget process, ensuring the financial and non financial data is accurate and submitted to required deadlines.
- Provide support to wider team where required.
- Provide analysis and reporting to Senior Finance management
Profile
The successful candidate will require:
- Be studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
- Strong Excel skills
- Good communication skills
- Proven analysis experience
