The successful candidate will lead the finance team in the delivery and quality of the management accounts whilst working in conjunction with budget managers to inform and influence financial results and projections.

Our client is a medium-sized Housing Association based in East London close to Canary Wharf. The association focuses on community regeneration as part of its core mission, with a Neighbourhood Centre on each estate. It is part of a network of housing associations and works on improving infrastructure, services, activities, employment, health and education in the area.
Description
As Group Management Accountant your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the business is fully engaged in the preparation of the annual Operating Budget and deliver the annual budget for all Directorates and their subsidiaries.
- Support the maintenance of the financial business plan
- Ensure the Management Accounts reflect the performance of the business
- Design and implement the accounting, record-keeping and reporting necessary for new business activities to be monitored effectively
- Preparation of quarterly reports to relevant Boards or Committees and monthly reports to the Corporate Management Team
- To line manage, train and develop the Assistant Management Accountant
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Strictly ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, CIMA or equivalent CCAB accounting qualification
- Significant experience of managing a budget process and preparation of management accounts
- Experience of working to deadlines
- Experience of a range of bookkeeping functions including a thorough knowledge of double entry, reconciliations and maintaining ledgers
- Experience of report writing to Boards
- Experience of using spreadsheets, accounting packages, word processing and financial IT systems
- Ability to apply accounting concepts and technical knowledge
Job Offer
This role offers £275-325 per day over a 6 month period.
