Financial Reporting Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title : Financial Reporting Accountant - 12 Months Fixed term contract Departmen t: Financial Reporting Location : Cavan Reporting to: Statutory Reporting Manager Job Summary: The company is seeking to hire a Financial Reporting Accountant that can demonstrate a track record of financial reporting and audit experience. This is a 12 month contract to cover a period of Maternity Leave. Key Tasks & Responsibilities Preparation and submission of regulatory reports for the Central Bank of Ireland and other bodies - ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory obligations and that all deadlines are met during the process Preparation of reports and returns to the Board of Directors and external parties Liaising with the Risk Function and preparation of risk reporting Participate in project based assignments to improve reporting process Assist in the preparation of financial papers for Committees of the Board Contribute to the maintenance of company policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory review and update Assist in the Group Solvency reporting requirements and Attestation process Completion of varied and ad-hoc reporting or project request Personal Specification: Qualifications Qualified Accountant Experience & Knowledge Strong reporting experience Previous insurance industry exposure would be a significant advantage. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Competencies Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy of information Desire to learn and adapt and an ability to identify and implement improvements. Flexible, committed, and can work effectively with Finance and non-Finance teams Enjoy working in a dynamic environment with the ability to deliver high quality results within tight timeframes.
