Michael Page are pleased to be working with a large Not For Profit based in Bristol, assisting with the recruitment of an experienced qualified accountant.
Description
Understands the strategy of the organisation and provide relevant financial insight into performance developing expertise over time.
Interprets and explains financial performance within the business unit.
Researches and presents dynamic industry, competitor and economic contexts.
Ensures the provision of accurate, relevant and timely management information.
Supports the development and analysis of the financial and commercial aspects of business unit specific capital projects.
Responsible for the production of the business unit's monthly Management Accounts including supporting commentary.
Review performance analysis and trends, including reviewing indirect income against targets and sources of funding.
Identify and employ the use organisation funds, and business unit specific funds to supplement activities.
Conduct scenario planning for investment requests
Provide effective support, advice and control of the financial and commercial aspects of projects in both application and delivery phases.
To be an advocate for delivery of the Customer Service Charter.
Provide training on relevant financial tools, rules and regulations to all areas of the organisation.
To host discussion groups to identify new opportunities and developments within each of the areas of responsibility, to consider options for consideration and potential systems developments.
To provide support to project meetings as required by the line manager.
To deputise for the line manager.
Profile
Demonstrable commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Highly developed knowledge of the principles, theory and practice of finance business partnering.
Experience in a similar role providing financial advisory and management reporting services.
Commercial acumen.
Proven influencing skills.
Proven advanced analytical and problem solving capability, incorporating creative thinking.
Ability to analyse complex data, making judgements and decisions, to ensure the correct accounting treatment.
Displays strategic thinking.
In depth knowledge of the current accounting Standards under which the organisation operates.
Experience of working with and influencing senior management.
Ability to manage a large workload and deliver to tight timescales.
Demonstrable track record of leading teams and motivating them to deliver results.
People management skills and experience
Experience of contract negotiations
