FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - BELFAST Who you will be working with: Abacus Professional Recruitment are working with a leading industry firm who operate in the medical sector. Our client has recently become a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 Company and one of the largest medical companies in the world whose sales in 2016 eclipsed $11 Billion. We are now working to help bring on a Financial Accountant for the company's Belfast operation and we see this being a much sought after role for both Newly Qualified Accountants looking to make the move into Industry and also Post Qualified Accountants, looking for their second move within industry. Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 plus Benefits including Flexible working hours. The role: Working as part of the Finance team, the successful candidate will assist the company in the preparation, reconciliation and analysis of financial data for monthly reporting. A key aspect of the role will be measuring the financial performance of the company and how it impacts on the entire group. The Accountant will require experience of monthly reporting, projections, KPI's and will have hands on knowledge of management accounts within a UK and US GAAP environment. The role will require a close working relationship within the Finance department to ensure compliance with overall business targets and reporting deadlines with a strong focus on accuracy and detail. What do we look for? Specific Requirements: Previous experience of working with US GAAP reporting requirements is an essential requirement for this role. General Requirements: Applicants should be a qualified Accountant with a recognised accountancy body. The post requires the applicant to demonstrate initiative with highly developed communication skills (both written and verbal). Analytical skills and attention to detail are key job requirements. The successful candidate will also require good team working skills and must be able to work under pressure against tight deadlines.
