Management Accountant / Finance Analyst

Macildowie Recruitment is currently recruiting exclusively for an exciting opportunity for a finalist or newly qualified Finance Analyst / Management Accountant to join a leading brand name business in the Leicestershire area. You will be responsible for supporting the business by providing financial analysis of business performance; identifying business impacts and issues; highlighting key trends and variances and improving the quality and availability of information from the systems, in order to enable change and continuous business improvement. The role is working for one of the midlands biggest businesses and is commutable from Leicester / Leicestershire, Nottingham, Coventry and Derby. Reporting to one of the Financial Controller the role will include the tasks below; Financial analysis including profit and loss, balance sheets and cash flows Identifying business impacts and issues, highlighting key trends and variances Management of information collection and consolidation Preparation of monthly reporting requirements Preparation of monthly board reports and senior management information packs Delivering ad-hoc requests to senior management Preparation of weekly sales reporting KPI's and understanding current market drivers Preparation of analysis of data for City Presentations Constant review of current reporting and processes To be considered for this role you will need to be either at finalist stage or newly qualified in CIMA, ACCA or ACA and have relevant management accounting or financial analysis experience. Have proven ability to focus on driving the business to improve and to challenge figures and current ways of operating. Proven understanding of the interaction of P&L accounts to balance sheets. Significant experience of working with excel.
