Management Accountant

A leading global business is looking for a Management Accountant to join their office in Chelmsford. Reporting to the Head of Contract Accounting the main purpose of the role is to produce and develop systems forecast and budgetary analysis, as well as the production of reports and commentaries for use by management. Key Management Accountant responsibilities will include: Produce timely and accurate management reporting to support the Operational Managers and Business Partners ensuring all contracts are suitably supported by robust financial models to evidence underlying earningsEnsuring accurate and timely preparation of management accounts for interpretation by financial and non-financial managementProvide financial advice and guidance to the contract operational staff to assist in their interpretation and understanding of financial statements and the financial position of their operations and decisionsPreparing budgets and forecasts to meet company and statutory requirementsPreparing monthly financial Trading Review packs and present the financial performance each monthLiaising with external auditors and other agencies as needed to ensure full compliance with company and statutory requirements are metAssisting in the development of new financial systems Your characteristics: Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) or overseas equivalentStrong understanding of forecasting and budgetary developmentExcellent communication skillsExperience working with operational staff with limited financial experienceAdvanced excel skillsTechnical financial system knowledgeExcellent organisation skills and multitasking abilities This business is looking to hire an outstanding individual who has already achieved fast track progression.
