We are currently looking for a Management Accountant for a private equity-backed construction business who provide high quality care and deliver person centred support packages that ensure stability in placement and great outcomes for individuals. They have received a lot of backing from a private equity fund and have grown from 50 to 120 employees in 6 months.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working alongside a friendly Financial Controller, this is a role that requires extensive consolidation and preparation of management accounts.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working alongside a friendly Financial Controller, this is a role that requires extensive consolidation and preparation of management accounts.
What you will be doing:
- Preparing complete management accounts for all the individual companies
- Completing full consolidation of group accounts on a monthly basis
- Calculating and managing entries for all prepayments, accruals, deferrals and adjustments
- Reviewing and reporting on all direct labour costs and supporting management
- Managing the VAT position of the group and ensuring VAT is charged to customers
- Supporting the internal audit processes and advising on procedural changes and controls that could support best practices on a consistent basis
- Supporting the production of fully consolidated year-end accounts and preparation of yearend audit
- Overseeing and supporting the team with regards to AP and credit control
- Reporting on activity trends and on variances to budget with meaningful commentary
- Liaising with clients to ensure that customer accounts are accurately billed
- Analysing and reporting on costs and revenues to improve financial management
- Reconciling multiple bank accounts, revenue accounts and all balance sheet items
About you:
- A part-qualified or qualified accountant
- Ability to work in a team
- Have experience of a range of management and financial accounting tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Have a focused work ethic and a strong personal drive to do well in all tasks
