RESPONSIBILITIES
* Review of payments & supporting documents for all payments.
* Ensure that all agents balances are paid timely
* Monitor and manage bad debts as per policy guidelines
* Ensure that employee advance accounts are monitored, and schedules prepared monthly
* Ensure that expense reports for advanced amounts are submitted as per the company guidelines.
* Monitor bank account balances daily
* Monitor instant ticket and consumables inventory
* Ensure inventory is reconciled monthly
* Ensure that all assets are purchased as per company guidelines
* Will be the site custodian of all assets
* Ensure Monthly Bank Reconciliations are completed
* Ensure all transactions for cost centers are posted for the period
* Liaise with corporate accounting re month-end close procedures and recording any ad-hoc entries needed
* Manage external audits with the aim of completing within the stipulated timeline
* Oversee the internal audit process for the site by ensuring that all documentation is received in a timely manner.
* Ensures that all taxes are paid and filed in a timely manner.
* Taxes should include all company taxes and taxes being paid on behalf of the employees
* Responsible for ensuring that all internal controls are in place at the site
* Ensure that local site personnel follow the policy and procedures of the company
QUALIFICATIONS
* Chartered Accountant Certification or BSc in Accounting
* At least 4 years' experience in Accounting
* At least 2 years Supervisory experience
* Proficient with Accounting Systems and Applications
* Strong communication (written, verbal)
* Highly proficient in MS Office Suite software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* Highly attentive to detail
* Flexible to work extended hours
