Assistant Accountant

Our client is one of Australias longest running and most trusted organisations within the financial services industry.

The Assistant Accountant position is responsible for providing overall support services to the financial reporting team

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Accountant will:

• Preparation of analytics for management reporting
• Daily cash investment management
• Provide support and back up to Finance Officer around the accounts payable function
• BAS statement preparation and reconciliation for two entities
• Reconciliation of GST accounts for the BAS statement
• Fixed assets recording and reconciliation
• Prepayment reconciliation
• Clearing Account reconciliations
• Maintenance of analytics for management reporting to CEO
• Budget vs actual review and analysis
• Assistance with the year-end statutory financial statements
• Completion of supporting files for year-end audit

Personal Attritbutes

The Assistant Accountant will:

• Be CA/CPA Qualified
• Have at least 2-3 years in a similar role
• Have expereience in the financial services industry
