Page Personnel are recruiting an Assistant Accountant position within a charity. The role will be supporting the Management Accountant with month end management accounts.

Client Details

Page Personnel are recruiting an Assistant Accountant for an organisation in the Not-for-Profit sector, with key finance offices based in Wakefield.


As an Assistant Accountant, you will be working in a team, reporting in to a qualified accountant, responsible for assisting with the production of the monthly management accounts.

Duties will include, however are not limited to, preparing and imputting journals, running monthly reports, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, managing Income & Expenditure statements, Gift Aid claim process, providing detailed analysis to key stakeholders and assisting with budgets.

This role is ideal for a part-qualified or qualified by experience finance officer or accounts assistant.


The successful candidate will:

  • Have worked in an accounts assistant/assistant accountant role previously
  • Be qualified by experience in a similar role OR be part-qualified in AAT/CIMA/ACCA
  • Have strong Excel skills
  • Have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Have previously worked in the Not-for-Profit sector (desirable, not essential)

Job Offer

£20,000 - £22,000 + free parking + 22 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) + pension scheme + competitive benefits package + Wakefield location
