Our client is one of the world's largest law firms, a multinational practice with a huge global presence, and are continuing to post growth and enter new markets via a combination of organic growth and M&A. This is the chance to join a massive brand as a Financial Accountant, based in their City of London office.

Group Finance is a team of 30 on the whole and this role sits within the Group Reporting Team. They are a close knit group of mainly ACA background individuals and so this role offers great progression within a strong team. The role has come about due to an internal promotion.

Description

The Role

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, this Financial Accountant role will have core reporting responsibilities with some commercial exposure:

  • Financial Reporting - preparation of consolidated partnership & LLP accounts.
  • Management Reporting - preparation of consolidated management accounts pack & prepare monthly slides for the Senior Leadership team.
  • Commercial/FP&A - ad hoc account analysis where required. Prepare monthly cashflow forecast. Preparation of financial models in support of new office opening and new partner recruitment. Ad hoc projects in support of Group Financial Controller/Finance Director.
  • Controls - analysis of financial controls checklist. Remain up to date with all group reporting standards. Assist with the implementation of new controls procedures.

    What's Needed

  • ACA Qualified (Top Tier Firm) or ACCA if from a legal background
  • Highly Excel proficient
  • Great interpersonal skills - able to manage and interact with senior stakeholders/partners
  • LLP accounting/audit exposure highly desirable (Legal or Professional Services)
  • Able to commute to City of London
