Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, this role of the Qualified / Part-Qualified Accountant will be based in the Cork office and will support PM Group's Western European business. The role will provide financial management, commercial performance and analytical support to the business while also having direct responsibility for the maintenance of finance processes and systems. M ain Responsibilities include : Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts in accordance with strict deadlines Preparing the Financial Accounts for a number of PM Group entities on a quarterly basis Completing monthly reconciliations of specific Balance Sheet accounts including Banks, Debtors, Revenue Accruals and Deferred Revenue Assessing commercial performance on projects and reporting on same. Providing comprehensive, high quality analysis to aid and support business decision makers both at a local and group level Liaising with Project Managers on a regular basis - addressing issues which impact the smooth operating of finance processes and addressing commercial issues from a project and risk point of view Weekly allocation of payments and issuing updated debtor reports to senior Finance Management and Project Managers Following up on outstanding debts through internal communication with Project Managers and external communication directly with clients Preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts Monthly expense reconciliations Quarterly VAT returns Monthly payroll processing and submission Issuing PO's to suppliers and completing monthly reconciliations of rate amendments Manage and support the timesheet process Manage and support new resources on the project from an Agresso perspective Ad hoc requests M i nimum Requirements Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with 3 years relevant qualification experience, with a hands on commercial attitude Proven track record of providing commercial support to Operations Proficiency in Microsoft applications particularly Excel Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular communication and facilitation skills at all levels Demonstrated experience of implementing and documenting new processes and workflows Good computer literacy with practical knowledge of and experience of large systems installation and integration, ideally in a service organisation Knowledge of best practice analytical concepts and reporting with emphasis on project revenue recognition, profit reporting, performance measurement and cost control Ability to build internal business relationships, to ensure that all business decisions are made in conjunction with sound financial and analytical appraisal Previous experience of Agresso Business World would be an advantage
