This Accounts Assistant opportunity is a all-around role within a highly established and successful company, this role will directly support a Financial Controller. The role will include duties such as Month end accountancy, Costing, multi currently and exchange rates and improvement projects.

This role offers a lot of space for development.

This Assistant Accountant has been created due to a period of business growth, centralisation of the finance function and acquisitions.

Description

This Assistant Accountant role will include;

*Specific Management Accounts tasks will initially include monthly allocation journals, balance sheet reconciliations and assistance with production of monthly reports for senior management.

*Daily reconciliation of cash and bank accounts.

*Maintenance of intercompany accounts including monthly invoicing.

*Preparation of monthly review packs for UK Management.

*Assisting with preparation of monthly VAT and PAYE tax reconciliations.

*Supporting the wider business with preparation and circulation of accurate and timely routine reports and ad-hoc information as required.

*Responsibility for routine accounts tasks and responsibilities will be developed as the role progresses.

Profile

This Assistant Accountant role is looking for a committed individual who wants to work within a varied role, can support with projects and have experience with; (Training if offered for development within the role)

*Although this is a new role experience within a finance function using accountancy software will be required (minimum experience to include, Bank Reconciliations, Purchase Ledger, Allocation and some Journals)

*Experience of working with a high level of self-organisation, requiring numeracy and accuracy.

*Strong communication skills with experience of communicating at different levels within an organisation.

*Experience of working well with minimum supervision.

*GCSE A-C grades or equivalent in English and Maths are essential.

*Experience of working with Microsoft Office products to an intermediate level and other accountancy systems

*This role will offer support for AAT then CIMA or ACCA
