Our client is a young, dymanic and very lean mixed use (commercial and residential) developer with a turnover of c. £10m - £15m and a fantastic pipeline of activity that will see the company at least double in size over the next 2-3 years. To facilitate this growth they are now seeking to recruit a candidate of suitable calibre to assume the position of Finance Director. Reporting to and working very closely with the Managing Director and the senior management team this is an integral position within the business that requires both outstanding financial technical ability together with the commercial and operational experience Your responsibilities will be wide and varied and will include To work as a partner with the Managing Director in developing and overseeing the implementation of the Corporate Strategy to underpin the growth of the business.To take primary responsibility for all financial matters relating to the business including bank relationshipsTo take overall responsibility for the Finance team, offering development and guidance as necessaryBe responsible for managing the relationship with the banks and financial institutions, external auditors, tax advisors and other key suppliers e.g. insurance The successful candidate is likely to have the following A recognised UK professional Accountancy Qualification - ACA, ACCA or CIMASenior finance experience ideally gained within the Property Development (Residential and/or Commercial) sector experience. The client would be interested in Financial Controllers seeking to step into their first Finance Director position.Dymanic, ambitious and personable with the ability to work in a very close management environment where personality and cultural fit are key.Operational capability with the experience, desire or ambition to deputise in the absence of the Managing Director in the general running of the businessThis is a senior management role with a large amount of autonomy, requiring entrepreneurial flair and operational capability in equal measures. It is anticipated that the successful candidates growth and development will mirror the growth and developemtn of the business over the next few years.
