As Finance Director based on site in Manchester you will have a broad remit across the organisation and its strategic plans. You will not only be responsible for managing the finance function, but also for commercial agreements on external business partnerships, monitoring efficiency of delivery across the organisation and the effective execution of the M & A strategy. Client Details Our client are a business that is exceptionally well funded after a recent re-finance and are now looking to utilise this capital to drive strategic growth through the execution of an ambitious but achievable 3 year plan. This plan will certainly include a greater 'bottom line' focus across the business and it's activities, as well as potential JV's and/or acquisitions to enhance the companies ability to deliver on its strategic goals. This Manchester based organisation ultimately want to be the most active and forward thinking of their type in the North West market. Description As Finance Director you will be expected to: Lead a talented and committed finance team to achieve 'best in class' finance and management reporting. Deliver effective MI and use this to challenge existing methods of operating to find areas of 'bottom line improvement'. Partner with the senior commercial and operational managers in the company to advise on best financial decision making. Work with external financial stakeholders to ensure awareness of utilisation of capital and financial controls. Be the financial lead on any M & A activity. Profile As this role is such a pivotal one in the strategic direction of the organisation it is reserved for the highest calibre Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) finance professionals. Reporting to the CFO you will be expected to get up to speed very quickly and so it is highly likely you will have been a Finance Director previously, and so will have gained the required experience in an organisation with a similar operating model. It is highly desirable that you have specific experience withing the construction/housing sector, or perhaps a business operating in the outsourcing or engineering market where you will have had significant exposure to end-to-end long term contract accounting. This will ideally include advising/sign off on commercial agreements, challenging the business on operational efficiencies and involvement with M & A activity. Job Offer £80-90k
