Rutherford Briant are exclusively recruiting for a Financial Controller based in Bury St Edmunds. This role is an SME, and has come about at a really exciting time due to recent acquisition of the company and great plans for growth. You will be responsbile for the day to day running of the companies' finance department, with a real commercial focus.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (ACA or ACCA) with relevant experience in a similair level role. You will demonstrate good commercial awareness with a strong tecnical accounting ability.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of commentary for directors and bank
- Management of treasury and company cashflow including monthly forecasting
- Involvement in preparation and review of annual statutory accounts
- Review of bank reconciliations
- Review of VAT return preparation
- Managing of business performance
- Assisting with internal process improvements
