Management Accountant

Cherry professional are recruiting an exciting opportunity in Derby for a part qualified Management Accountant. In this growing, forward thinking company you will play a key role in the Finance Team and be responsible for producing and reviewing accounts for different Divisions of the business. The role will support the company in reviewing management accounts, analysing variances from budget and reconciling the balance sheet. The company are looking for an individual who is a confident communicator and can support senior stakeholders and tackle any queries they may have. This is a high profile role and offers a fantastic chance to further your career. Duties include;- Ensuring accurate and timely production of the profit and loss accounts- Compilation of monthly management accounts for review with the Financial Controller- Weekly profit forecasts and associated cash flow statements- Oversee provisions and proactively lead Managers through the month end results- Development of processes, procedures and controls to ensure the integrity of the accounts and to increase understanding- Assist the Financial Controller in the annual budgeting and planning process- Deputise for the Financial Controller as required- Assist, coach and manage an Assistant Accountant who will report directly to you.The successful candidate will be a part-qualified accountant who is still studying and has already embarked on their CIMA or ACCA qualifications.
