Financial Accountant

A manufacturing business based in Warrington is recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join their growing accountancy function. This role will be a temporary contract.

This business has a strong presence within the UK, but also has sites across Europe and Asia, and is growing at a solid rate. Having recently had substantial investment into new product lines, equipment and technologies, they are on the cusp of significantly increasing their profit margins.

Description

Reporting to the UK FC, as Financial Accountant your role will ensure the compliance of financial regulation and statutory reporting as well as managing some staff. Key duties will include:

• Managing the day to day finance function and overseeing the AP, AR, GL and Payroll functions

• VAT / Intrastat returns

• Prepare management accounts pack (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, reporting)

• Managing all internal audits and ensure all financial controls are compliant to company policy

• Prepare and distribute weekly flash reports

• Ensure full reconciliation processes with other areas of the business are in place

• Preparing year-end audit files and liaise with external auditors, as well as playing the lead contact with all third parties such as HMRC

• Responsible for ensuring tax compliance and calculations

• Processing payroll on a monthly basis

• Contributing to the headcount and labour budgets, and forecasting on a monthly basis

• Control of the cash and banking procedures

• Preparing rolling cash flow projections

Profile

The successful applicant for this Financial Accountant role must have the following:

• Part qualified (ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience with a focus on progressing and learning more

• Demonstrable experience of process improvement and adding value

• Able to manage their time within a pressured environment

• Strong influencing skills

• Advanced Excel skills

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi task

Job Offer

• £30,000-32,000 basic salary
