We are on the search for a savvy Commercial Finance Director, someone who will be responsible for providing commercial support to drive the divisional strategy forward.

Reporting into the Finance Director for UK & Ireland this senior position will form part of the divisional boards, alongside delivering against and managing a complimenting finance strategy, running and supervising the finance team, processing and recording all relevant financial transactions and ensuring the timely production of high quality and reliable financial information for the business.

We are looking for a hands-on individual to manage and drive the transformation of the finance function in the two divisions (Projects & Technical Services). In the short term the divisions need to fully transition to adopting IFRS 15, which needs to be fully embedded throughout (such as the operational teams). In the medium term, the divisions ERP systems are being replaced and we require someone who will be highly influencing in this project.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

-Act as a business partner for the Divisional MDs and provide commercial and strategic support
-Attending commercial and client meetings when required and the day to day management of Divisional finance employees
-Managing and developing the divisional production of Management accounts each month including the development of P&L reporting to contract level and regular financial review meetings with Operational management
-In depth Cash Management
-Providing effective financial information to the operations of the business to enable visibility of performance and assist with strategies around efficiencies and enhancing profitability
-Managing and developing the maintenance of key financial budget information for every site under contract to ensure full control of costs through the business
-Preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts to manage the divisional results and expectations across the business
-Compliance with Group Financial Policy and procedure and establishment of additional policy and procedure as required
-Ensure full and complete controls are in place on all business costs and expenditure as well as control and management of all financial systems / applications
-Delivery of the annual Statutory audit
-Assisting in due diligence projects (including modelling etc.) and integration following any acquisitions

-Proven ability of shaping and delivering against budgets
-Experience in managing a finance team, with the ability to demonstrate strong personal integrity, confidence and discretion
-Strong communication skills and ability to manage expectations across a range of individuals throughout the business
-Ability to meet tight deadlines as well as being customer focused and proactive
-Able to deal with a fast paced continuously evolving role as well as having an open and honest approach
-Determined and focused on achievement
-Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
-Proven experience with customer facing commercial discussions
-Flexible with willingness to travel for business cases
-ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience and a minimum of 5 years industry experience
-IFRS 15 experience

This position will be based from our Loanhead, Edinburgh office; however, the role holder may be required to travel to other offices and client sites on a sporadic basis. Core working hours for this position are from 8.30am until 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, flexibility will be expected regarding hours of work, to suit the needs of the business and team.
