Management Accountant

My client, a well known organisation in the North East has a requirement for an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team. The finance team are responsible for planning, organising, controlling and accounting for the groups finances. As The Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the production of the group financial information, including management accounts, financial forecasting and budgets. The role will entail, and not be limited to the following: · Review of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis for submission to the Head of Finance. · Production of monthly management accounting information. · Production of quarterly accounting information. · Preparation, posting and control of journals in the core accounting ledgers. · Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers, both internal and external. · Develop and produce key KPI information to assist the budget holders drive financial and commercial efficiencies and ensure effective cost capture and control. · Production of forecasting and budgeting for all the company entities. · Develop, implement, monitor and review appropriate systems for processes within the finance team. · Provide short-term cover for the financial duties of the Head of Finance in their absence. · Develop, implement, monitor and review appropriate systems for processes within the finance team. · Any other ad hoc duties - appropriate with the grade of the post as requested by the Head of Finance. Qualifications/ Experience. ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Significant experience working in a small finance team. Experience producing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets including creation of all required journals. Experience of preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations to support the underlying accounting information. Proficient Microsoft Office user, ideally NAV, experience. Excellent all round written and oral communication skills, including good grammar and spelling and a great telephone manner.
