The position is a key finance management role working within the Order Management team and reports to a Senior Manager. The team focusses on partnering with the Sales Operations team, supporting and setting up orders. Teams are aligned regionally but work as a global team to support the order booking process across multiple products and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of Order Management professionals, driving a culture of accountability and collaboration to produce best in industry results
  • Responsible for overseeing and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring that work is performed to a high standard in accordance with customer requirements and Service Level Agreements and distributing team workload
  • Working with Sales Operations as part of the negotiation process for complex products and ensuring orders can comply across multiple product categories
  • Working with Pricing and Legal teams to confirm order requirements and resolve queries as well as working with downstream teams to resolve order queries from invoicing and collections
  • Aligning final quotes, purchase orders and order entries to ensure applicable business rules and corporate policies are followed
  • Generating, amending and recording orders in ERP systems and supporting alignment to corporate booking policies
  • Tracking and informing management of New Business and retention trends using order booking data, working towards specific targets and monitoring team KPIs alongside Sales Operations (e.g. acceptance rates, renewal rates, speed of response, number of changes)
  • Archiving and maintaining customer quote histories and responding to enquiries from other teams / auditors on quotations
  • Responsible for delivering against team targets, reporting on progress toward KPIs and interacting with functional lead on performance of the team
  • Collaborating with the broader Quote to Cash team and internal stakeholders to create a seamless, efficient end-to-end process
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and recommending remediation to strengthen control environment
  • Leading and delivering ad-hoc work and Quote to Cash projects as needed, including, but not limited to process improvement initiatives, process documentation and system changes
  • Establishing, maintaining and monitoring internal controls and SOX compliance
  • Leading and guiding development of team, and providing and receiving feedback

Required Skills and Experience

  • University degree – preferably related to Finance / Business – or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in working in software order management
  • 1+ years of experience in a leadership and managerial role
  • Experience within a Global Technology / Software Company and operating within a SOX controls environment is preferred
  • Experience across multiple areas of the Quote to Cash process is preferred
  • Experience working in a Shared Service Centre is preferred

  • Fluency in the English language (mandatory)
  • Proven leadership abilities and an inclusive, collaborative style, with a keen desire to build and manage a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to all levels of organization
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Strong understanding and experience across multiple ERP and other Finance IT systems
  • Expert understanding of software product or process

  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities and projects
  • Flexible and tenacious, self-motivated with excellent communication skills along with an ability to make decisions under pressure and set clear expectations for your team
